TACHEDO- Tanzania Christian Health and Development Project- is founded by Lene Elisabeth and Marcpharson Shao, Monica Helen Warberg and Camilla Vartdal. Since 2002 we have been thinking, planning and praying, and last summer(2005) we began to see the dream come true.
We have a burden to win the children and youth in Arusha for Jesus. Specially the street children and the fatherless. We want to give them hope and the greatest hope we have is in Jesus Christ our Savior!
We are working with two different sections:1)Tachedo health clinic, 2)Tachedo work shop, and we cooperate with Bethel Christian Center.
Bethel Christian Center is a pentecostal church ( Tanzania Assemblies of God) in the area Kijenge in Arusha, Tanzania.
Their vision is:
" We want to reach the people of Kijenge with the Gospel so that they can be saved, and show them the love of God practically. We believe that more than preaching, people need to be helped socially because "the love of Christ motivates us". When that happens, they desire to follow and love our God".
We believe that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father exept through Him. For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son so that all who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. What a wonderful gift of love to me and you! We want to show the people we work with that God loves them and want to be together with them.

Marc is educated as carpenter, and our plan is to see the jobless getting a job and that they can help themselves. In january 2008 we celebrated one year of production at the workshop, we eat lunch together at the workshop and we had a good time togheter before the workers had to go back to work again!
The second plan for the workshop is to give education to streetboys and other boys without parents or any opportunity to get educated. The boys who want to be educated as carpenters shall get the opportunity to work with us to learn during their studies. Today we have four students, they are now helping out at the workshop to get an idea of how it is like to work as a carpenter. Later, when we get a bigger building they shall get theoretical lessons about carpentry and woodworking. We are praying for and believing God for a bigger building, and our big goal is to get a plot so that we can build our own center, factory and school. But this will take a while..but we are working towards that ... If the workshop will expand and produce profit, the profit will go to support the health clinic with for example equipments. At the workshop we make kitchen-cabinets, doors, wood-floor and all other kinds of furnitures. It is going well, but still we are in need of economy to fix the machines when they get problems, money to buy enough materials and so on.. If you are interested in helping us to help our people, you are welcome to contact us by email: leneelisabeth@tachedo.com or marcpharsonsus@yahoo.com

The health clinic we are building is located in Kisongo which is a maasai village 20 km outside the town of Arusha. About 7800 people is living here, and there is no health clinic, so the need is huge. We are helping them to build the clinic, and when it is done the clinic is registered as a governmental clinic and it is the government which shall pay nurse, midwife and doctor who works there. Lene Elisabeth Shao will help out maybe two days a week. January 2008 the clinic is finished outside, but inside is not yet done. The roof is up, the walls are painted, but we miss to make the floor ready, windows, doors, toilet and sinks. And furnitures like beds,cabinets... Still much to be done.
May: The walls are painted, electricity installed,we have alle the windows and doors. The grass is also planted outside. What we miss now is to put the floorcarpet ( plastic),cabinets and beds, sinks and toilets. pluss tiles at the outside toilet. This is in progress but we miss money to finish totally. We hoped that we should finish it and open it in june, and we are still hoping, but time is running fast :-)
